Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.───你们当记念我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山，为以色列众人所吩咐他的律例典章。

Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.───你们在何烈山又惹耶和华发怒。他恼怒你们，要灭绝你们。

On Mount Horeb, Elijah had a lot to say to God. And he was probably surprised when he received an answer.───在何烈山上，以利亚对神说了很多话，当神竟然回答他时，他可能颇为吃惊。

So the Israelites stripped off their ornaments at Mount Horeb.

Once there on Mt Horeb, the crisis is not over, here comes an even greater threat of death — the theophany. No flesh can see God and remains alive.

When Elijah stood before the Lord on Mount Horeb, he didn't meet Him in the wind, earthquake, or fire. Rather, God spoke in a "still small voice" (1 Kings 19:11-12).
